Real-time Dashboards

Create a sales dashboard from your phone or tablet

This guide will walk you using RTDashboards on your phone or tablet device (iOS or Android). You'll learn how to add the dashboard to your home screen for quick access and how to use it in a kiosk mode environment.

Accessing the Dashboard

Open your mobile browser: Use Safari (iOS) or Chrome (Android) for optimal performance.

  • Go to URL: https://rtdashboards.com/login.
  • Log in: Enter your username and password to access your dashboard.
  • You will redirect back to the dashboards

Adding to Home Screen (Quick Access)

When you use this option you don't have the browser navigation etc.

iOS (Safari):

  1. Tap the "Share" icon (a square with an arrow pointing upwards) at the bottom of the screen.
  2. Scroll down and select "Add to Home Screen."
  3. Edit the name if desired and tap "Add."

Android (Chrome):

  1. Tap the three vertical dots (menu) in the top right corner.
  2. Select "Add to Home screen."
  3. Edit the name if desired and tap "Add."

Display always on *

If you want to use your phone or iPad, you don't want the screen to turn off after a few seconds or minutes. On iOS, you can select "Never" for the screen timeout. On Android, there the "Never" option is not available on each phone/tablet. On Android, you can use an app like Stay Awake or see the section below about kiosk apps.

IOS

  1. Open the Settings app: This is the app with the grey icon containing gears.
  2. Tap on "Display & Brightness": This option is usually found in the third section of the Settings menu.
  3. Select "Auto-Lock": This setting controls how long your screen stays on before timing out.
  4. Choose "Never": This will prevent your screen from timing out automatically.

* Although RTDashboards includes a built-in screensaver for the sales and multishop dashboards, using the always-on feature is at your own risk.

Built-in Screensaver

RTDashboards has a built-in screensaver for the sales and multishop dashboards. Every hour, an overlay appears for a few seconds, displaying the current time.

Using in Kiosk Mode

Kiosk mode can be a valuable tool for deploying and managing your real-time digital dashboards in office environments, ensuring a focused, secure, and efficient user experience.

Kioks apps

Kiosk mode
With kiosk apps, you have just a bit more functionality. Such as password protection, automatically going directly to RTDashboards upon startup of the phone or tablet, fullscreen mode and perhaps most importantly (on Android) preventing the screen from going into standby mode.

The downside is that you do pay a one-time fee for it.

IOS Kiosk apps:

  • Kiosk+
  • Fully Kiosk Browser
  • ProSurf - Kiosk Browser

Android Kiosk app:

  • Fully Kiosk Browser
  • Kiosk Mode
  • Fully Single Web Kiosk
